Dennis Ferrer & Objektivity present: Sons of Raw
Time to block Saturday October 20th in your agenda. The Amsterdam Dance Event awaits another edition of Objektivity. This year Objektivity and its head honcho Dennis Ferrer present the fresh new concept: Sons of Raw!
A night where new and exciting talent teams up with the man who needs no introduction. The aspiring ‘Sons of Raw’ are Jordan Peak, Phil Weeks, NiCe7, André Hommen and their ‘little sister’, Lilith. For this edition Objektivity teams up with local partner Chicken Tonight (by Monday, Body Music & Meubel Stukken) at a new Amsterdam city center hotspot: De Bierfabriek.
The Objektivity ADE specials are an imperative for those who like their house deep, damp and downright dirty. Over the last four years, New York’s infamous deep house imprint has earned its place among the other major label showcases flocking the world’s most important dance music conference and biggest club festival. After successful showcases at Trouw, Toffler, Studio 80, De Karavaan and sold out ADE editions from 2008 till 2011, the place where it all happens this year is the brand new Amsterdam hotspot De Bierfabriek. A very exciting place: raw, intimate and with a capacity of only 500 people.
Objektivity is moving forward, fast forward. The latest releases ‘Westpark Trax EP’, ‘No Difference’ and ‘Issshhh EP’ have been smashing dance floors worldwide and there’s a lot more where that came from. As a Son of Raw himself, Dennis Ferrer decided to gather around promising talents whose veins are filled with the same raw blood as his, hence the name: ‘Sons of Raw’
After introducing The Martinez Brothers to the world, Dennis Ferrer’s sharp eye for talent fell on André Hommen (co-producer of ‘No Difference’) and Lilith. Her last release ‘Master Codes’ on Memoria was well received and the next one, an EP on Objektivity, is scheduled for November 2012. With successful releases and already legendary back2back sets with Dennis Ferrer under her belt, we can say the future shines bright for Lilith.
A warm welcome by rising stars André Hommen and Lilith sets the night off right. Beatport music awards winners NiCe7 will give you the chance to experience why they’re blazing hot right now. Their new EP ‘Back to Basics’ is ripping the charts apart as we speak, getting massive support. House purist and owner of Robsoul Recordings, Phil Weeks is next in line to keep the groove jacking the heck out of you. After this Parisian hero, housemaster Dennis Ferrer will happily take over the stage with his unstoppable drive and infectious energy. If you’d been to former Objektivity ADE specials, you know what this means: certified mayhem of movement and hands in the air. Good thing Jordan Peak comes to the rescue for those who can’t and won’t stop rocking to take care of the closing set. One of his biggest hits is ‘Keep it Rocking’ is a proper display of what this British boy is capable of.
There are only 500 tickets for this ADE special. You don’t wanna be square for not being there, so get your tickets now at:
